  • Lovely grounds, well kept, lots of animals. Just a great conservation area. Great place for a sunny day with friends or family. Or a nice solo jaunt to reflect on life. I have seen countless turkeys, chipmunks, raccoons, lots of birds of all shapes and sizes. They even will fly right into your hands. Always bring bird seed!

  • Wonderful place to go for a walk with your family! We saw no fewer than 20 deer while walking near the lake. A few of them were only meters away, while the larger herd was off in the distance. The local Chickadees will eat right from your hand. Just make sure that you have sunflower seeds with you as they don't seem interested in anything else. The ducks, geese, and swans are less selective about the seeds they eat but are more aggressive, so be prepared. Your hand will feel it! It's fun, though. Parking was only $2 when we were last there. Well worth it to support the park.

  • This is one if the best conservation areas if you wish to see wild life. I have been to so many of these conservation areas and even provincial parks but this one beats everything. You can easily see deer roaming about. I once saw a beautiful buck with a big rack on his head. They are often roaming close to hiking trails. Turkeys are also easy to see on most days. You can easily have chikadee east sub flow seeds from you hand and chipmunks love to take a peanut from your hand. There are flocks of blue jays and cardinals are also commonly seen. It is an excellent place to watch hundreds of geese landing in water in the evening. Mallards also often fly over the bridge so close to you that you can almost touch them. Love this place. Bring your rain boots in spring as tracks can sometimes be muddy.

  • Went here last winter for a walk and was impressed with how vast the area actually is. It looks small when you drive in but behind its quiet big. Great for anyone, friends, family or couples. I do remember having to pay to park. I'm not sure if it is the same still.
